Many things make people happy. New Cars, New House, shopping, clothing..or I should say "stuff". We have to really come down to terms that all "THINGS" are just quick highs that don't last long or give fulfillment in life.
God has put us on this earth to have purpose and potential. When we think that things are fulfilling our purpose and potential I think we have received the wrong idea of true happiness. The Lord told us with food and clothing be content. This is so important and God wants our lives to be fulfilled in doing His will and knowing that the Joy of the Lord is our strength.
I have come to realize in my good times in my bad times the only thing that makes me happy is pleasing the Lord, and in him I am happy.
